KIP PIKIN KOMPIN PROJECT 2025 AT THE S.L.M.B. SCHOOL, BLACKHALL ROAD
On June 20th, the Rotaract Club of Mount Aureol commemorated the Day of the African Child with a meaningful initiative titled “Kip Pikin Kompin” at SLMB School, Blackhall Road. This project underscores our commitment to serving and uplifting communities, particularly by supporting the most vulnerable children.
Impacting Over 800 Students
The initiative directly benefited over 800 students through the provision of:
-
Essential learning materials
-
Hygiene supplies
-
Other critical resources to enhance their education and well-being
Special assistance was provided to:
-
Students affected by a recent fire near the school
-
Children without parental care or in destitute conditions
A Day of Inspiration and Engagement
The event commenced with a formal opening ceremony, featuring remarks from distinguished child advocates, including Hassan Fuad Kanu, Judith Thompson, Christian Sahr Jabba, and Seray Madi Mbayoh. Their speeches, complemented by prayers and words of encouragement, inspired attendees. The students were served a nutritious meal, followed by a screening of the film Sarafina, which fostered inspiration and engagement. With the assistance of Rotarian PAG Christian Kamara, we distributed school supplies to support the students’ educational pursuits.
Acknowledgments and Partnerships
We extend our gratitude to Rtn PAG Adonis Aboud of Pikin Biznes for his critical partnership in ensuring the success of this initiative. We are deeply appreciative of all donors, supporters, and contributors whose generosity made this event possible. Above all, we express our gratitude for divine guidance and support throughout the project.
Ongoing Commitment
The Rotaract Club of Mount Aureol remains dedicated to the “Kip Pikin Kompin” mission, ensuring every child has access to education, dignity, and opportunity. We invite you to join us in continuing to make a lasting impact in our communities.
